During his tenure with Tampa Fire Rescue and the Tampa Police Department, he conducted over 2,400 fire origin and cause investigations and served on a multi-agency federal task force with ATF and the Federal Bureau of Investigations. Mr. Alcala was instrumental in the investigation of many high-profile cases, including those involving serial arsonists, arson for profit, insurance fraud, and homicides.
